HONDA The Power of Dreams

Honda returned to F1,
which had moved from engines to power units (PUs) combining
an internal combustion engine with electric energy management,
in a new era of motorsport considering environmental performance.
Through discussions with McLaren,
Honda developed an extremely compact PU
that contributed greatly to the team’s “Size Zero” concept,
but struggled due to lack of PU development
and the high hurdles set by the new regulations.
