Car: Williams Honda FW11 (1986)
It’s great to be back at Goodwood again this year and to be driving the Williams Honda FW11 that Nigel Mansell drove in 1986. Mansell has been a hero of mine since I was a carting kid, so it will be great for me to drive his car. The Festival of Speed is the only weekend where motorsports fans can get up close to the cars, the drivers, and of course the driving. It’s a fun weekend for everyone, and I’m really looking forward to it. It’s also my first year as a SUPER AGURI F1 TEAM driver.
Christian Klien
Car: RA107 (2007)
Goodwood is a great event, I came here for the first time last year and had a lot of fun, so I’m happy to be back. There is a great atmosphere this weekend and it’s great to see all the old and new racing cars in one place. This weekend at Goodwood, everyone becomes a true race fan. It’s a lot of fun to drive the RA107 up the hill. I’m also looking forward to showing off my cool burnout with the sound of an F1 car in front of everyone.
Gil de Ferran
Car: Williams Honda FW11 (1986)
For someone like me who enjoys racing in its many forms, the Goodwood weekend is a great experience. Of course, there is none of the pressure and competition of a regular race week, but it is a great event that the whole family can enjoy. This year I have the opportunity to drive the Williams Honda FW11 driven by my countryman Nelson Piquet, who influenced me when I was a teenager, so it’s an indescribably nostalgic feeling.
Jenson Button
Car: RA107 (2007)
I’m really looking forward to being back at Goodwood again this year. I’ll be at Goodwood all weekend as I’m taking part in the bike time trial on Saturday and the F1 car demo on Sunday. The bike time trial for charity is a bit of a special event this year. I’ll be teaming up with David Millar, who is racing in the Tour de France, against other F1 drivers and cyclists. I always do some cycling training, but this time I have to be extra prepared! Honda has always participated in Goodwood and I think it’s great that they continue to support such an important event. Goodwood is a very exciting weekend for the fans and it’s just before the British Grand Prix. It’s great to see so many fans at these two events.
Jim Redman
Car: NR750 (1992)
Honda brings their beautiful and unique ‘60s six-cylinder car for us. Goodwood is a very unique event, bringing together cars and bikes of all sizes from all manufacturers from all eras. One of the attractions is the opportunity to mingle with the riders and drivers of that era, as if you were back in the 1960s. You can enjoy the garden party atmosphere, the auctions, and the stands with many different types of interesting items for sale.
