Throughout my career, I have worked primarily in the automotive industry and have been responsible for various HR functions. In 2017, I joined Honda Automobiles in Brazil, taking on multiple roles in the factory and corporate office. Today, I am in Tokyo as a representative of the Talent Management team at Honda Motors.
Honda is a widely recognized brand in Brazil for delivering high-quality products. One of the most significant connections between Honda and Brazil is the legendary Ayrton Senna, whom I deeply admire. Together, they won the Formula 1 World Championship in 1991, the same year I was born.
The partnership between Honda and Senna during that time was not just about victories on the track, but about overcoming immense challenges. To this day, I see Honda as a company always willing to challenge itself, and this relentless drive for innovation continues to motivate me to support the brand during its period of transformation.
A core belief of Honda philosophy is “respect for the individual” which recognizes and respects differences in values. Throughout my career in Brazil and Japan, and through daily interactions with various regions, I have observed that despite different cultures, our philosophy remains incredibly strong. This foundation fosters an environment where our associates can express their opinions and feel respected, which makes me proud to be part of Honda.
Honda's fundamental philosophy consists of “Respect for the Individual” and “The Three Joys.” Initiative, equality, and trust are the three pillars of “Respect for the Individual.”
Under the global human resource structure, we are collaborating with each region to promote a global strategy that will support Honda during this period of second foundation. As a representative of South America, I am working to develop our workforce for future technological and mobility needs, accelerate diversity to the company’s leadership level, and connect HR systems and processes in a unified direction. This global project is a significant challenge, and I am confident that with our collective efforts, we will see fruitful and tangible results for Honda in the future.
When I think about my future, I want to look back and see that my contribution played a key role in ensuring that Honda remains a sought-after brand and is recognized as a leader in mobility, while also making a meaningful impact on society. As a member of the Human Resources Department, I want to maximize our workforce’s potential, continue advancing diversity, and make a positive impact not only on our associates, but also on their families and the communities. I strongly believe that there is a better future ahead.
I am always conscious of the balance between work and personal life, I try to spend my days off with my family, creating memorable experiences that will stay with us forever. At the same time, we also spend a significant part of our time at work. With this in mind, we need to take care of it as if it were our second home, creating a healthy environment through relationships with people and consistently striving to do things with a greater purpose and passion. The place where we can truly realize our dreams! In this way, the days and this journey called life will become lighter, more balanced, and more enjoyable.
