MMU

Honda India Foundation’s Mobile Medical Units (MMUs) and Static Medical Units (SMUs) are transforming healthcare delivery in underserved regions, offering essential medical services where infrastructure is limited. These units operate across Haryana, Rajasthan, Karnataka, and Gujarat, providing free healthcare to remote communities.

The MMUs, functioning as mobile clinics, travel to villages to offer vital services, including diagnosis, treatment, and medication, with a focus on maternal and child health. In addition to the MMUs, the SMUs provide stationary healthcare services in local areas, ensuring consistent access to medical care in collaboration with health authorities and community volunteers.

Both the MMUs and the SMUs organize large-scale Health Melas and Camps in locations such as Bhiwadi, Alwar, and Sikar. These events deliver curative care and raise awareness about preventable diseases like dengue, malaria, and diarrhea, emphasizing the importance of preventive healthcare.

Through these initiatives, more than 900,000 people benefit from regular access to medical services, improving their overall health and well-being. HIF’s MMUs and SMUs are critical in bridging healthcare gaps and ensuring that even the most remote communities receive the care they need.
