It's getting warmer these days.
I haven't ridden for a while because it's been cold, but I'm thinking of riding a motorcycle for the first time in a while.

Haven't ridden lately?
You need to do an inspection and preparation before you ride!

What exactly should I check?
Tell me!

OK, let's “wake up” the motorcycle together!

Before checking the motorcycle, first check the surroundings. Are there any liquid wet marks or fallen parts on the ground around it?
If these are identified, be aware that motorcycle may be leaking fluids or parts may have come off and fallen off!

If you can reveal the color and smell of the liquid,
it will be easier to determine what is leaking and whether it is coming from the motorcycle.

Now let's move on to checking the motorcycle.
First, a visual check.
Check for proper amount of liquids, deterioration of rubber and plastic parts, and rust on metal parts, etc.
There's a possibility of deterioration during storage.
If you have any concerns, let's consult with the Honda dealer.

I guess parts deteriorate differently depending on storage conditions, such as indoors or outdoors, sunlight or no sunlight, and so on.
I checked all the parts carefully!

Next, check the moving parts.
Try pushing and moving them by hand to see if there are any abnormalities in the movement of the steering wheel, suspension, or other moving parts,
and if there are any unusual noises.

OK to check!
Where do I check next?

It's the battery check.
Check the state of charge and recharge if necessary,
as the battery may have been weakened by natural discharge during storage.
Also check for corrosion or other abnormalities in the connection terminals.

In addition to the above, when checking engine starting, do not start the engine suddenly.
First lubricate the moving parts thoroughly, then remove the plug and turn the cell motor.
If old gasoline is still in the fuel tank, check the smell and appearance to see if it is usable.

Well, if the engine is not run for a long time, the engine oil might accumulate in the lower part of the engine and it might not be circulating in the upper part.
It's possible that there's rust inside, depending on the storage conditions.

That's right!
You risk engine damage if you suddenly start the engine in that condition.
If the vehicle has been stored for a long time, it is necessary to change the engine oil and other liquids.

Now let's check the pre-ride inspection items at the end.
Refer to the Owners manual for details.

I'm referring to Plus one article on storage advice,
so everything was fine!

Wait, it's not just the motorcycle that hasn't been run in a while.
Aren't you forgetting one last important preparation?

I've prepared motorcycle well, what else is there to do?

It's about us.
It's been a long time not only for the motorcycle but also for the riders, so we need to be well prepared!

That's right.
I'll do a good preparation exercise and run carefully first to regain my senses.

Now people and motorcycles are ready to go!
Let's get on!!!!
