Sato: These robots seem to specialize in planting greenery. It's interesting to imagine by what kind of system they choose trees and how the tree affects the surrounding environment.
Kanki: The robot design itself should also evolve. You may eventually be able to realize self-restoration and self–duplication with more efficient and environmentally friendly materials.
Sawai: You may want to think about how these robots communicate with people and how they blend into the city's life. Perhaps they also play an educational role.
Honda designers accelerate creativity using Generative AI and augment the possibilities of dreams.
These robots are equipped with AI, and they not only plant trees, but also select plants necessary to maintain the balance of ecosystems, and plant in places suitable for the environment.
The robots can perform more than just physical tasks and encourage citizens to play an active role in the environment. For example, a robot enhances the connection with the regional community through a tree-planting project and educates the citizens.
To expand human potential, these robots can collect environmental data and provide valuable information for urban planners and scientists. In addition, it is also assumed that they will play a role in supporting emergency response in the event of a disaster and prompt action for environmental restoration.
GreenWill :
GreenWill’s activities start today as well, with a sky full of lush hanging gardens in the background at the city of Tokyo in the future. Their task is clear: breathing new life into the center of the city.
While the morning light slowly descends into the city, GreenWill goes along the set route automatically. The built-in sensor analyzes the quality of soil and selects suitable plants. Today is the day of planting cool maple trees to relieve the heat of the city. The children cheer around the robot. They looked forward to seeing the GreenWill working.
"GreenWill, will you plant maple trees in that place?" A boy points his finger. GreenWill nods and begins to dig the soil in that place. The boy smiles. This is not just a robot. GreenWill is like a friend.
