Today

Female, 18 years old

My bike is a 50cc Today scooter, which has only one centerstand, and no sidestand. However, that centerstand has proved to be really convenient when I go shopping or load things into the scooter's front basket, because it keeps the bike stable. A friend of mine uses a regular sidestand on her scooter, but I've been told that the bike is not very stable when parked, and can become even more unstable when loading on packages. So I tend to think that having and using a centerstand is a better idea.

Silver Wing

Male, 51 years old

I bought a Silver Wing scooter while considering the possibility of doing some long-distance touring. Its engine is remarkably powerful, and I've also been satisfied with its comfortable ride. On the other hand, its heavy weight makes it a little difficult for me to move it around in the garage. However, its centerstand operation is light and can be properly used to my full satisfaction. My motorcycling buddies ride bikes of other makes, and they're also surprised at its excellent operability. The stands on their bikes seem light to operate when used, but require considerable force when pushing them off to ride, and appear to be quite heavy.

PCX

Female, 26 years old

It's been two years since I started my 'bike life' riding the PCX. Although I've never really thought much about the centerstand to date, when I lent my scooter to a friend, she said that its riding comfort and the easy operation of its centerstand were quite different from other bikes she's ridden from other manufacturers. I was surprised to hear that, since till then I had just taken for granted that centerstands all work that way.

CB1100

Male, 47 years old

On the weekends, after going touring on my CB1100, I wash my bike and perform routine maintenance on it. Having a centerstand is especially useful when doing such work. It's also convenient when lubing up the drive chain, adjusting chain tension or checking the tires for any damage or wear.

Sh-mode

Female, 28 years old

I really wanted a larger bike, but being short I ride an easy-to-handle 125cc Sh-mode scooter. Although I've ridden other bikes before, when using the throttle and brakes and even the centerstand, I get the feeling that Honda really excels in the design of the parts used every day, more than just simply comparing riding comfort. Should I refer to this as a feeling of quality? Whatever it is, I like it a lot.

Gold Wing

Male, 52 years old

I own a Gold Wing, and I have no reluctance at all in using the centerstand, even though it weighs well over 400kg. While it's not an easy lift, the centerstand can be operated properly once you've learned the knack. It really does provide a sense of safety and stability when loading on all the luggage the Gold Wing can carry. There are other large touring bikes that are only equipped with sidestands, but taking into consideration the maintenance that should be performed at one's destination, I believe the centerstand is still more useful and more convenient.

PCX150

Male, 24 years old

I ride a PCX150, and this scooter is equipped with both a sidestand and a centerstand. I usually use the sidestand more than the centerstand, but when parking in places with sloping road surfaces or when filling my bike with gas, I use the centerstand. I find it's good to have both stands.

Forza

Male, 38 years old

My current bike is a Forza big scooter. Although I've ridden 250cc scooters from other makers before, Honda's centerstand seems to be noticeably easier to use. I get a real feeling of the high quality of its operation and handling ease. I also like that it doesn't make any clunky noises when the centerstand is raised.
