Notifying the driver that the vehicle in front has moved forward (e.g. while waiting at traffic lights)
After stopping, for example at a traffic light, this function notifies the driver when the vehicle in front moves forward. A millimeter-wave radar detects the vehicle stopped in front. If the user’s vehicle stays stopped despite the vehicle in front moving off, the system notifies the driver using warning sounds and a visual warning on the instrument panel.
How it works
STEP1
The millimeter-wave radar detects a vehicle stopped in front, for example at a traffic light.
STEP2
If the user’s vehicle stays stopped when the vehicle in front moves forward, the driver is notified using warning sounds and a visual warning on the instrument panel.
The individual functions of the driver-assistive system have limited capabilities (e.g. recognition capability and control capability). Please do not overestimate the capabilities of any function and drive safely while paying constant attention to the vehicle’s surroundings. A system may not work or perform adequately depending on road conditions, weather conditions and vehicle conditions.
Function is not installed in some areas.
