Young Enterprise Company Program
SDG 4 : Quality education, 8 : Decent work and economic growth

Honda Motor Europe Ltd. UK Branch supported Young Enterprise Company Program.
• As a national charity, Young Enterprise motivates young people to succeed in the changing world of work by equipping them with the work skills, knowledge, and confidence they need. The UK faces a serious skills gap. A high percentage of young people are not in education or employment, and many leave schools without the skills they need to succeed in the real world.

• As part of the Young Enterprise Company Program, student teams from schools nationally are encouraged to start their own companies, giving them the opportunity to learn about running their own business as well as selling to the general public.

• In addition to sponsorship of the program and event, Honda was also part of the judging panel at the South Central Regional Finals in May 2021.

Motorcycle Safety Training
SDG 3 : Good health and well-being

Honda Motor Europe Iberia Branch started 2W safety activities in 1992. Since 2009, we have operated a motorcycle traffic education center named Honda Safety Institute located 20 minutes from Barcelona. The facility occupies 20,000 m2 including a building, an asphalt track, an off road track, and also a skid line for brake testing. Training activity is all year long (excluding summer and winter holidays) and every day from Monday to Sunday. During the week, the training activity is focused on Safety courses for professionals and corporations (i.e. police, delivery services, etc.), while on the weekend it is focused on general motorcycle users (including children), no matter which brand of motorcycle they own.
To make it easy for participants we provide all necessary riding equipment and also motorcycles (we have around 50 units from 50cc to 500cc). Our portfolio includes 11 courses, and normally they are 6 or 8 hours in duration. HIS activity is based on defensive training and risk prevention. One of our courses has received outstanding feedback from the European Motorcycle Training Quality Label for safety training. The COVID-19 situation has had a significant effect this year as we had to reduce the number of courses.
