Recycling of Materials
SDG 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure, 11, Sustainable cities and communities, 12: Responsible consumption and production, 17: Partnerships

Honda Argentina (HAR) carried out a social contribution project with its own resources and volunteering. We incentivized the work of collecting, recycling, donating and reuse of materials (pallets, plastic caps and paper) to the Municipality of Campana and the Garrahan Children’s Hospital. During 2020, approximately 7.5 kg of plastic caps, 700 kg of pallets and 355 kg of paper were donated to these both organizations.

Digital Safety Riding Courses
SDG 3: Good health and well-being, 4: Quality education

The Honda Safety Traffic Training Centers in Brazil (CETH in Portuguese) offers safe riding courses about traffic safety to customers, the government and companies, focused on motorcyclists who already have some skill in riding.

The course aims to improve riding techniques and develop skills in safe motorcycle riding to face any situation in traffic, and includes content such as posture, emergency braking and driving strategy in traffic (blind spots, motorcycle positioning, etc.).

Free driver training is offered to fleet companies and public agencies, such as police and firefighters, from all regions of Brazil and also from other countries in South America.

Due to the pandemic situation this year, the course was changed to a digital format and 3,201 people participated.

Donation "Solidarity Workshops"
SDG 1: No poverty, 3: Good health and well-being, 10: Reduced inequalities

The objective of this project is to disseminate social responsibility among Honda employees, working in the local community with cultural activities and social actions, following the Honda philosophy of being a company desired by society.

Employees generate the necessary resources for the development of the project through monthly donations deducted from their pay, and Honda participates by providing an equal portion to interact with the project.

Delivery of the donations was carried out by Solidarity Workshops through Christmas parties with the community. In 2020, the donations took place in 6 different Reference Centers in Social Assistance (CRAS) in Sumaré City and 908 children each received a bag with toys, clothes, shoes, school materials, candy, hand sanitizer and protective masks.
