Honda aims to become carbon neutral in 2050
through all of its products and corporate activities.
The recent outbreak of the novel coronavirus has clearly changed our daily lives and society, and many people around the world also came to develop a desire to make the most of their limited time and make their lives safer, more free and more enjoyable.
At the same time, we have reaffirmed the importance of cooperation and harmony as members of society and have become more conscious about making a contribution to society based on our own initiative. In particular, such a consciousness is being directed toward global environmental issues, and we believe that a transition toward a society where people are more conscious about coexisting with the Earth will occur at an accelerated speed.
In light of changes happening to our society, what kind of value should Honda provide in the future? We believe that working in pursuit of the “elimination of our environmental impact” is one of the answers. Based on this belief, we will work more comprehensively to address challenges in the area of the environment.
To be more specific, we will strive to realize carbon neutrality for all products and corporate activities Honda is involved in by 2050.
Moreover, Honda will Striving for a “circular/resource-recycling society” that aims for “zero environmental impact,” which will enable people to sustain life on this Earth.
