The Goodwood Festival of Speed is an event where the past,
present and future of automobiles,
motorcycles and motorsports intersect.

The annual event,
established by British nobleman Lord Charles March in 1993,
attracts historic racing machines and their drivers and riders from all over the world.

Witnessing countless machines,
that once raced at the pinnacle of world-class motorsports,
being lovingly restored and brought back to life,
charging at full-speed up the hill-climb (in many cases at the hands of their original pilots), is just a part of the culturally-significant and unique event.

For all motorsports fans,
the Goodwood Festival of Speed is an event in a class of its own.

The world’s largest celebration of motorsport brings together legendary machines and iconic drivers from the past and present under the theme of the great rivalries that have defined the sport.

The theme of the 2026 Goodwood Festival of Speed is “The Rivals – Epic Racing Duels.” The event shines a spotlight on the many legendary rivalries that have shaped the history of motorsport. Honda has also built its own history by competing against some of the sport’s greatest rivals in F1™, MotoGP, IndyCar and other racing series.

At Goodwood 2026, Honda looks back on some of the legendary rivalries that have defined its racing history.

Honda is commemorating the 40th anniversary of its first FIA Formula One World Championship Constructors’ title in 1986 with a variety of event programs around the world.

Honda’s first championship title in F1™ was a major milestone that symbolized its spirit of challenge. To commemorate the 40th anniversary of this achievement and celebrate with motorsports fans around the world, Honda is conducting a global showrun program featuring the Williams Honda FW11.

The FW11 will be driven by Damon Hill and Ryo Michigami. Damon Hill made his name primarily with Williams Racing during the 1990s and is one of the legendary drivers who won the F1™ Drivers’ Championship in 1996. Experience the driving skills he honed throughout his career at the pinnacle of motorsport and beyond.

40th Anniversary of Honda’s First F1™ Title

Since its earliest days, Honda has viewed racing as a place to develop both people and technology, boldly taking on the world’s highest levels of motorsport. This year marks the 40th anniversary of Honda’s first F1 Constructors’ Championship title in 1986. To commemorate this achievement, Honda will conduct showruns featuring the Williams Honda FW11.

Williams Honda FW11 showruns

Powered by the 1.5-liter V6 twin-turbo RA166E engine, the FW11 was renowned for its outstanding performance. It claimed nine victories from 16 Grands Prix during the 1986 season, delivering Honda’s first Constructors’ Championship title and marking the beginning of the company’s golden era in F1.

This year’s showruns will feature Damon Hill, the legendary 1996 F1 Drivers’ Champion who raced for Williams Racing throughout the 1990s, alongside Ryo Michigami, as they bring this iconic machine back to life.

Hillclimb entry vehicles and dynamic world premiere models

On the 1.16-mile Hillclimb course, a wide variety of Honda vehicles showcasing technologies and expertise developed through motorsport will take on the famous hill.

Among the highlights is the Prelude HRC Concept, which will make its world dynamic debut in a showrun. Also appearing on the Hillclimb are the Super-N, scheduled to go on sale in the UK in July, as well as the WN7 and CB1000F.
