About Red Dot award-winning Honda products

Honda WN7

The Honda WN7 is the first Honda full-size electric naked model developed with the concept of “Be the Wind.” This model adopts a structure in which the battery case, positioned at the center of the body, forms part of the frame. Adoption of this frameless structure resulted in a lightweight body with great layout flexibility, which significantly contributed to the realization of a slim and compact body.

Key design features:

Aiming to “refine functionality and realize the essence of motorcycle design,” the design features seamless and smooth surfacing where it comes in contact with the rider, while combining a distinctive and powerful silhouette. The signature headlight of the WN7 features an iconic horizontal bar design, which will be adopted as a shared identity for future Honda electric motorcycle models.

UNI-ONE

By leveraging technologies amassed through its research on robotics, including ASIMO, the humanoid robot, Honda created the UNI-ONE as a seated mobility robot that the user can steer simply by shifting body weight while seated and keeping both hands free to move naturally in all directions as if they were walking. The UNI-ONE was designed for ease of use for people of all ages, from young children to the elderly, without requiring complex operation.

Key design features:

The UNI-ONE design features soft, approachable forms that blend naturally into a variety of environments, including public roads to commercial facilities. Rounded shapes with no sharp edges and subtly concealed wheels create a sense of unity with the seated user. Honda is pursuing design which enables everyone to share the fun of mobility, including the enhancement of work efficiency and supporting diverse people, including seniors, to play active roles in society.

Miimo 1500i/2200i

The Miimo 1500i/2200i are Honda robotic lawnmower models developed with the concept of the “Smart Lawn Meister.” These models became the first among all Honda robotic lawnmowers to be equipped with a wireless navigation function that utilizes the RTK (Real-Time Kinematic)*2 system and enables automated mowing, eliminating the need to install physical perimeter cables. The Miimo 2200i is the first model equipped with ultrasonic sensors, offering two selectable obstacle-avoidance patterns for enhanced safety and operational efficiency.

Key design features:

The exterior design features refined CMF (color, material, finish) that harmonizes with modern lifestyles, while the dedicated smartphone app offers a beautiful and intuitive UI (user interface). The design is intended not to disturb the peaceful moments and spaces of the customers.

Prelude

The all-new Prelude is a specialty hybrid sports model that embodies the “joy of driving” in the electrified era. Based on the original Honda two-motor hybrid system, the Honda S+ Shift control technology is adopted to realize direct drive response and sharp gear shifting feel as if the vehicle features a stepped transmission system. Moreover, with unique technologies to reproduce a powerful engine sound in sync with the engine RPM through the speaker system and a highly responsive meter display system that operates in coordination with engine sound, the Honda S+ Shift technology stimulates all of the driver’s senses and provides an exhilarating driving experience at the will of the driver, further “synchronizing” the driver and the vehicle.

Key design features:

Developed under the grand concept of “Unlimited Glide,” the all-new Prelude features a low and wide proportion that evokes the uplifting sensation of gliding through the air and a sense of dynamic driving. The clean roofline flowing from a low, sharp front nose is one of the defining features of the exterior design. The interior was designed to ensure a comfortable space not only for the driver but the front passenger as well. The front seats were designed differently to suit separate needs: the driver’s seat is shaped to hold the driver firmly in place, making it suitable for sporty driving, while the passenger seat offers comfort together with just the right amount of feeling of being enveloped. The concept of the all-new Prelude was also expressed with the main interior color option — a two-tone Blue & White — a color coordination with a high contrast of sporty white and deep blue.
