Development of Agile Handling Assist

Abstract

Agile Handling Assist has been developed in order to increase vehicle responsiveness and stability, offering users handling that is both exhilarating and secure. To realize the new system, a unique Honda Agile Handling Assist logic was incorporated in high-performance Vehicle Stability Assist. By contrast with VSA, which goes into operation in the limit range, Agile Handling Assist operates from the daily use range, applying light braking force, unnoticeable to the driver, to the inner wheels when the steering wheel is turned, and to the outer wheels when the steering wheel is returned, in order to increase responsiveness and stability. The system has been put into mass production in the 2014 ACURA RLX.
