The RC213V-S was developed aiming at a creation of a motorcycle, which can be legally driven on a public road, based on the MotoGP racing machine RC213V while succeeding its mechanisms and detailed specifications. To comply with regulations and to apply necessary equipment needed for practical use, some of the parts manufacturing processes were changed. However, the basic configurations and exterior styling design were maintained within a limited range of changes, minimizing its weight increase to achieve the dry weight of 170 kg. Consequently, it was made possible to have ordinary riders enjoy the attractive feature of maneuvering feeling that is so called “excellence of maneuverability,” which is a crucial element needed for RC213V to win the races.
