Abstract
Honda Robotics as a Service Platform is a platform for the purpose of developing and operating robotics services. In terms of development and operation for the purpose of establishing such services, past verification tests of delivery service using ASIMO identified issues for further work that required investigation relating to the network, the creation of testing environments, the development and operational environments, and the establishment and expansion of service.Regarding each of the above issues, the Honda RaaS Platform can enhance the development and operation of robotics services by providing for a secure communication environment and expansion of the operating area by means of SIM, a scalable infrastructure environment using the Cloud, a development and debugging environment that is network accessible, an operational environment that enables remote monitoring, and an environment for establishment and expansion of service by API provision. In addition to showing the architecture and interface of the Honda RaaS Platform, the concept of “collaboration of diverse talents all over the world” was also proven by case examples of a series of delivery services that create collaboration and coordination by multiple different robotics devices.
