Activity Report: Highlights of Activities in July
Exhibited in the Honda Booth at SPACETIDE 2026
Honda R&D Co., Ltd exhibited at SPACETIDE 2026. This was an event held at Toranomon Hills Mori Tower from July 6 to 9, 2026. SPACETIDE is one of the largest international space business conferences in the Asia-Pacific region. It operates under the vision of “Unlocking Space for All Humanity.” We showcased our research and development initiatives in the space sector, such as circulative renewable energy system (regenerative fuel cell (RFC)) technology and robotics, in the Honda booth. We also presented our approach to applying the technology we have cultivated on the ground to the space sector and initiatives toward future lunar development. We expanded the potential for new partnerships by engaging with attendees and stakeholders in the space industry.
Furthermore, Derek Adelman, Chief Engineer at Honda Development and Manufacturing of America (HDMA), participated as a speaker in a discussion session with Mike Gold, President of Civil and International Space business at U.S.-based Redwire Corporation. In this session, he talked about Honda’s initiatives and future outlook.

Participated as a Speaker at the 41st Power Electronics and Power System Technology Symposium
Kenji Noguchi, Assistant Chief Engineer at Honda R&D’s Research Center of Excellence, participated as a speaker at the 41st Power Electronics and Power System Technology Symposium. This event was held as one of the technical symposiums at the TECHNO-FRONTIER 2026 exhibition organized by the Japan Management Association and held at the Tokyo Big Sight Conference Tower from July 15 to 17. Under the theme of “High Efficiency Alone Is Not Enough: Power Distribution System That Supports Continued Operation of eVTOL,” Noguchi introduced our latest eVTOL power unit. He also talked about the power supply design concept for ensuring continued safe flight, the technical challenges involved, and more.
The challenge of developing a form of aerial mobility distinct from cars drew a great deal of interest from the audience. In the Q&A session following his talk, Noguchi even answered questions outside his area of expertise with a smile on his face and clear explanations from start to finish. His passion for the future of mobility came through in his talk.
