Alonso Finishes 10th After Overcoming Wet-Weather Chaos

At the Brazilian Grand Prix, which was repeatedly interrupted by heavy rain, Safety Car periods, and red flags, Fernando Alonso finished 10th, while Jenson Button came home 16th after struggling with the car’s balance.

The race began behind the Safety Car in torrential rain. Poor visibility led to a challenging race, with multiple crashes and red flag interruptions. Alonso (McLaren Honda) was running inside the points before spinning after one of the restarts, dropping down the order.

Alonso responded with an aggressive recovery drive in the wet conditions, making a series of overtakes to climb back through the field. He eventually recovered to 10th place, earning a valuable championship point. Button (McLaren Honda) struggled with grip and overall balance throughout the race, preventing him from finding competitive pace, and finished 16th.

In a race marked by torrential rain, repeated Safety Car periods, and red flag interruptions, Alonso recovered from a spin to finish 10th and score a point. Button struggled to keep temperature in his tires and completed the race in 16th.

The data gathered and lessons learned from the weekend were carried forward into setup refinements and power unit development for the next race.
