Honda reorganized, with Yasuaki Asaki as general manager
of F1 development and Toyoharu Tanabe as on-site technical director,
in a season it could not afford to fail in.
The team finished 4th in Round 2, Bahrain,
and upward momentum began to build. In Round 8,
France, Honda announced that it would supply engines
to Red Bull Racing from the following year.
The Honda RA618H had established high-speed combustion technology during the season,
and rapidly improved performance.
