Yusuke Hasegawa, who had experience in Honda’s third F1 era,
took over the lead for F1 development.
Based on the lack of regenerative energy produced
in the previous year’s “Size Zero” cars,
focus shifted to increasing power output.
A certain level of performance and reliability was achieved,
and McLaren Honda recovered to 6th place in the constructors' standings.
