Regretful End to Third F1 Era Despite Ross Brawn Joining

As the last piece of organizational reform,
Honda Racing F1 invited Ross Brawn,
who famously supported Michael Schumacher in his glory era,
to be team principal in 2008.
The team devoted resources to developing a chassis
for the following year’s major regulation changes,
but the global financial crisis in the fall of 2008
brought an end to Honda’s F1 activities.
Super Aguri also withdrew early in the season due to financial difficulties.
