Honda purchased BAR’s shares and established BAR Honda GP Limited,
and became a true factory team.
Taking on the challenge with high expectations,
BAR Honda introduced technologies including
the newly developed seamless shift system that reduced drive loss during gear shifting,
but fell behind in aerodynamics and engine reliability,
finishing 6th in the Constructors’ Championship.
