Honda to Strengthen Collaborative Relationship with Red Bull Group in Motorsports

TOKYO, Japan, October 5, 2022 – Honda Motor Co., Ltd. (Honda) and Red Bull Group will strengthen their partnership with the goal to further evolve and popularize motorsports.

Two Red Bull Group teams, Oracle Red Bull Racing and Scuderia AlphaTauri, are currently competing in the 2022 FIA*1 Formula 1 (F1) season with machines equipped with power units (PU) Red Bull Powertrains*2 supplies with technical support from the Honda Racing Corporation (HRC). As announced on August 2, 2022, this collaboration will continue until the end of 2025 season. To further enhance the partnership, Honda and Red Bull Group agreed on the following:

*1 A Red Bull Group company that produces F1 power units.

*2 Fédération Internationale de lʼAutomobile  

1) From the F1 Japanese Grand Prix 2022, which will take place this weekend at Suzuka Circuit (October 7 - 9), through the end of the 2022 season, in addition to the HRC logo, the Honda logo will be newly added to the Oracle Red Bull Racing and Scuderia AlphaTauri race machines.

2) Oracle Red Bull Racing driver Sergio Perez will serve as a Honda Racing School Suzuka (HRS) ambassador and participate in the HRS Driver Academy which will be held in November 2022 in Japan.

3) Oracle Red Bull Racing drivers, Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez, and Scuderia AlphaTauri drivers, Pierre Gasly and Yuki Tsunoda, will participate in the Honda Racing THANKS DAY 2022*3 to be held on November 27, 2022 in Japan.
