All-new Honda Civic Awarded 5-Star ASEAN NCAP Safety Rating

Bangkok, 28th October 2021 – The 11th-generation Honda Civic has received a 5-star rating in the latest ASEAN NCAP (New Car Assessment Program for Southeast Asia) test under the new ASEAN NCAP Assessment 2021-2025 Protocol. This emphasizes Honda’s commitment for everyone sharing the road, can safely and confidently enjoy the freedom of mobility.

The all-new Honda Civic achieved a 5-star rating with an overall score of 83.47 out of 100 (103.39 /120 for total score), including a frontal offset impact test, side impact test, and evaluation of safety features. The new model received impressive scores of 29.28/32 for Adult Occupant Protection (AOP), 46.72/51 for Child Occupant Protection (COP), and 19.07/21 for Safety Assist Technologies (SATs), and 8.32/16 for Motorcyclist Safety (MS).

The 11th-generation Honda Civic made its debut in Southeast Asia in August 2021 in Thailand, followed by Singapore. The all-new Honda Civic comes with Honda’s advanced driving assisting system, Honda SENSING*. The system uses the front wide view camera, inside part of the windshield to provide greater awareness of driving conditions around the vehicle by detecting cars, motorcycle and pedestrians effectively. It provides warnings and supports the driver in avoiding or mitigating the severity of a collision.

  • Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with Low-Speed Follow (LSF)
  • Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS)
  • Road Departure Mitigation System (RDM)

It is also equipped with a wide range of advanced safety features* such as Honda LaneWatch, Driver Attention Monitor, Multi-angle Rearview Camera, Electric Parking Brake, Auto Brake Hold, Walk Away Auto Lock, Front Passenger and Rear Seat Belt Reminder, and Rear Seat Reminder.
