The CBR600RR a mid-size super sport bike introduced in 2003 to much acclaim from the public for its high performance has a lighter engine and frame and updated styling for 2007. The popular CB600F Hornet sports bike, now equipped with the same lightweight engine as the new CBR600RR, is retuned for ease of use at low-to-medium engine speeds, and features updated styling accented by a new headlight design. A special model of the CBR1000RR is also available fitted in bold the Repsol Honda Team’s MotoGP factory machine livery.

Model details are as follows:

CBR600RR

This all-new super sports model features a water-cooled, 4-stroke, inline 4-cylinder, 600cc engine featuring advanced technologies developed on the MotoGP circuit. The 2007 model is equipped with an even more compact engine installed in a newly designed Fine Die-Cast aluminum frame. A lighter, more curvaceous and compact new bodywork design and other weight-reducing efforts provide a weight reduction of 8.0kg compared to the previous model. A shorter wheelbase and a lighter, more compact Honda Electronic Steering Damper (HESD) also contribute to more compact dimensions for further enhanced riding performance. Manufactured by Honda’s Hamamatsu Factory in Japan, it will be made available in European markets starting December 2006 with an annual European sales projection of 16,000 units.

Now equipped with Programmed Fuel Injection (PGM-FI), it has been specially tuned for ease-of-use at low-to-medium engine speeds. The styling has also been updated with a new headlight design and a new exhaust system. High performance multi-reflector headlights and lightweight aluminum wheels fitted with wide radial tires add to the overall performance package. Manufactured by Honda subsidiary Honda Italia Industriale S.P.A. in Italy, the CB600F Hornet will be made available in European markets starting early 2007, with an annual European sales projection of 24,000 units.
