Tokyo, April 27, 1998 - Honda Motor Co., Ltd. introduced today the Naughty Duck, a bass fishing boat made of aluminum. Starting May 11, 1998, it will be made available through Honda Marine Division sales outlets that have both prior experience in aluminum boats and the proper service facilities.
The Naughty Duck was developed to best pair with Honda's clean 4-stroke outboard motors and provide the performance, stability, and deck space associated with bass fishing boats. The famous Australian aluminum boat maker S&B Manufacturing Ltd. conducted the actual design work and will assume responsibility for production as well.

Both strong and durable, this welded aluminum boat is also light enough to allow transportation on a car roof-carrier. Within the 12-foot category, it achieves outstanding maneuverability and acceleration and can be equipped with either a BF15 (15PS) or a BF9.9 (9.9PS) outboard motor.

With its V-shaped hull and 8 stripes providing for both high rigidity and stability at high speed, this boat has passed all the relevant safety tests leading to the approval of its design by the Japan Craft Inspection organization (JCI).

In the hope of creating other relationships similar to the one above, Honda looks forward to actively supporting boat makers in their efforts to develop boats best matching the characteristics of Honda's outboard motor line-up.
