In developing this promotional film, the team explored Honda Power Products’ history and future under the theme of “evolution without compromise.” To communicate both its hallmark reliability and future-forward innovation, the video visualizes how products respond to people’s needs and aspirations.
The video’s theme is: Work small, Create great. Everyday tasks—cutting grass, clearing snow, working the land—are small actions that support daily life and ultimately create greater value.
The story begins in a small, enclosed miniature world. As the lives within it begin to connect, the perspective gradually opens up into a wide sky.
This world is brought to life through stop-motion animation using miniature Honda Power Products.
The production team behind “ORIGAMI” (2019), a brand promotion video created for Honda’s 70th anniversary, reunited for this project.
During the production of “ORIGAMI,” animation was created by capturing 24 still images per second and stitching them together into motion. For this video, however, a new approach was adopted. To express a similar world while conveying the warmth and human connection between people and power products, the team combined stop-motion techniques with generative AI.
The miniatures were carefully crafted to strike a balance—neither too realistic nor overly toy-like—achieving a level of detail that feels authentic within the miniature world. The result avoids both fantasy exaggeration and confusion with real-life objects, instead delivering a grounded, carefully controlled sense of realism.

In typical miniature videomaking, models of people, landscapes, and products are arranged and photographed, then moved incrementally—millimeter by millimeter—for each subsequent shot. For a two-minute video at 24 frames per second, this would require nearly 3,000 individual photos.
However, in this production, advances in generative AI significantly transformed the process. By using AI to interpolate between captured frames, the team improved production efficiency while expanding creative freedom. This capability had not been feasible just months earlier.

Despite the use of generative AI, the foundation of the video remains real-world craftsmanship. On set, miniatures at a scale of 1/30 to 1/50 were meticulously arranged, with repeated, highly precise shooting to achieve a convincing sense of realism.
Within each miniature box garden, people mow grass, cultivate fields, and clear snow. By using power products, their efficiency improves. As these tools evolve through electrification and intelligence, tasks gradually move beyond human hands.
Freed from labor, people look up to the sky where hot air balloons drift, taking in the beauty of a glowing sunset. Children play, families go camping, and others spend their time at ease—scenes that reflect a life enriched by newfound time.
Another important perspective is the enjoyment of work itself. The goal is not a world where robots complete everything. Instead, when Honda technology makes life a little easier, the question becomes how people choose to use that time.
This video presents a vision of what lies beyond that newly created space in daily life. It invites viewers to embrace both the ease of work and the richness of the time it creates—capturing a new theme for Honda Power Products.
