MUNICH, Germany, January 26, 2006 – ASIMO made a guest appearance at this year’s Digital Lifestyle Day (DLD06) in Munich, Germany, on January 23 - 24. DLD06 is one of Europe’s most influential technology forums and is organized by Hubert Burda Media. 

ASIMO was joined by Professor Edgar Koerner, President of Honda Research Institute (Europe) at the event to demonstrate the latest advances in Honda’s humanoid robotics research program. ASIMO and Professor Koerner’s presentation was part of a wider discussion at the forum entitled “Darwin among the machines,” which included Professor Pöppel, historian, author George Dyson and Professor Bernd Radig of the Technical University of Munich.

Other key presenters at the event included Viviane Reding, EU Commissioner for Information Society and Media and Marissa Mayer, Google’s President of Search Products and User Experience.
