DUBAI, United Arab Emirates, December 12, 2005 – Following a recent appearance amidst the winter splendour of Helsinki, ASIMO helped open the 8th International Middle East Motor Show in sun-drenched Dubai.

ASIMO, the world’s most advanced humanoid robot, presented His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Al Makhtoum, the son of the Crowne Prince of Dubai, with a golden pair of scissors to cut the ribbon and officially announce the Motor Show open.

This was ASIMO’s first appearance in the Middle East. ASIMO will be entertaining visitors with performances throughout the 5 days of the show.
