About Super-ONE

Grand concept: “e: Dash BOOSTER”

With the grand concept defined as “e: Dash BOOSTER,” the Super-ONE was developed as an A-segment compact EV designed to transform everyday mobility into an exciting and uplifting experience by adopting a variety of features that make the in-vehicle experience more enjoyable for customers. The name “Super-ONE” represents the aspiration of Honda to create a vehicle that transcends conventional norms for EVs and standards of mini-vehicles (“super”) and delivers customer value unique only to Honda (“one and only”).

In addition to excellent environmental performance and usability for everyday use, the “fun of driving” characteristics unique to Honda were pursued for the Super-ONE. By adding features designed to stimulate all of the driver’s senses to the “joy of driving” realized by sporty driving only small EVs can achieve, the Super-ONE offers customers an exciting and uplifting driving experience.

The Super-ONE features a sporty, yet stable and dynamic driving experience by leveraging the lightweight platform advanced for N Series models and its wide stance with a widened tread.

Moreover, BOOST Mode, developed exclusively for this model, increases the power output to enable the power unit to fully unleash its performance potential, while also synchronizing the simulated 7-speed transmission and the Active Sound Control system to generate powerful engine sound and sharp gearshift feel, as if driving an engine-powered vehicle with a traditional multi-gear transmission.

Packaging and Driving Performance

By adopting a dedicated chassis with a widened tread, the overall vehicle width was increased compared to N Series models. A thin battery is positioned under the center of the floor to concentrate heavy components and lower the center of gravity. This results in a vehicle weight of 1,090 kg (2,403 lbs.), one of the lightest in its class among all passenger EVs available in the Japanese market*1, and a center of gravity lower than that of conventional compact-size gasoline vehicles. These features allow the Super-ONE to deliver handling performance that is highly responsive to driver input, providing the driver with a sense of confidence.

Furthermore, the lighter weight of the vehicle contributes to high electricity efficiency, achieving a range of 274 km (170 miles) in WLTC mode*2. With this range, the Super-ONE realizes both practicality for daily use and a fun driving experience.

Design

The exterior was designed to realize styling that evokes an uplifting sensation in anticipation of an authentic driving experience, while the interior was designed to realize a space that heightens anticipation for an excellent driving experience and enables the driver to be fully immersed in driving.

The blister fenders encasing the wide tires emphasize a low and wide stance, expressing a sense of dynamic driving. Moreover, the aerodynamic design developed exclusively for this model, inducing front and rear air ducts, combines practical features that support excellent driving performance, with functional beauty.

The Super-ONE will be available in five exterior colors, including Boost Violet Pearl, a new color developed exclusively for the Super-ONE. Inspired by blue jets, upper-atmospheric lightning that shoots upward toward outer space, this deep purple hue was created to evoke an immediate feeling of exhilaration.

The sports seats are also designed exclusively for this model and hold the driver firmly in place to secure a stable driving position, while the asymmetric layout of blue surface material adds a playful touch to the interior color coordination. In addition, the horizontal orientation of the instrument panel realizes a clear field of vision which will enable the driver to focus more on driving.

BOOST Mode - driving mode developed exclusively for the Super-ONE

The Super-ONE is equipped with “BOOST Mode” developed exclusively for this model to elevate driving into a more exciting experience. BOOST Mode increases the maximum power output from 47kW of normal modes to 70kW to enable the power unit to fully unleash its performance potential to realize powerful and sharp acceleration.

Moreover, by synchronizing the simulated 7-speed transmission that reproduces the gearshift feel of a traditional multi-gear transmission and the Active Sound Control system that produces and plays a powerful, “virtual” engine sound inside the cabin in accordance with driver input through the accelerator and brake pedals, the Super-ONE enables the driver to enjoy the feeling as if driving an engine-powered sporty vehicle, while offering the advantage of an EV. In addition, when BOOST Mode is activated, the driver can shift gears using a paddle shifter on the steering wheel to enjoy a more engaging driving experience.

Furthermore, the dedicated settings for meter displays and illumination are available for BOOST Mode. The digital triple-gauge cluster, consisting of a battery temperature gauge, a pseudo-tachometer, and a power gauge, adopts a design reminiscent of mechanical analog gauges. The pseudo-tachometer displays a virtual engine rpm and, in coordination with the virtual multi-gear shift control, creates a visually stimulating experience.

The long illumination on the passenger-side instrument panel lights up in blue during normal driving modes and changes to purple when BOOST Mode is activated.

With these features, the Super-ONE stimulates the driver’s senses — including visual and auditory senses, as well as a tactile sensation of acceleration and vibration — and offers an uplifting EV driving experience.

BOSE Premium Sound System

The Super-ONE features an 8-speaker Bose*3 Premium Sound System as standard equipment. The system was developed jointly with BOSE Corporation to realize a dedicated audio system optimized for the cabin environment of Super-ONE, which will be the first Honda compact model in Japan to feature a BOSE sound system.

The Bose original Dynamic Speed Compensation technology automatically adjusts volume and tone based on vehicle speed to offer a pleasant listening experience. Moreover, a 13.1-liter high-capacity subwoofer installed in the cargo area delivers well-balanced sound, from powerful deep bass to clear highs, enabling all occupants to enjoy a concert hall-like experience.

Prior to the start of pre-orders on April 16, the Super-ONE will be on display at Honda booth at the AUTOMOBILE COUNCIL 2026, being held at Makuhari Messe from April 10 to 12, 2026.
