TOKYO, Japan, September 7, 2026 - Repsol Honda HRC rider Toni Bou (Spain, 39 years old) claimed his record-extending 20th consecutive 2026 FIM* Trial World Championship (TrialGP) title at the Netherlands GP, held from September 5–6.

TrialGP is an outdoor trial competition in which riders tackle sections that make use of natural terrain. Bou began the 2026 season with victory at the opening Japan GP and went on to win every subsequent round: Round 2, the Andorra GP; Round 3, the Italy GP; Round 4, the Great Britain GP; and Round 5, the France GP, maintaining the championship lead throughout the season. At Round 6, the Netherlands GP, Bou won on both Day 1 and Day 2, securing his 20th consecutive title based on his points advantage over the second-ranked rider, with the season-ending Spain GP still to come.

His teammate Gabriel Marcelli (26, Spain) has also delivered consistent performances and currently sits third in the standings. He will aim to move up to second at the final round.

Since winning his first World Championship title in 2007 aboard the HRC factory machine, the Montesa COTA 4RT, Bou has continued his uninterrupted run of TrialGP titles. Combined with his 20th consecutive FIM X-Trial World Championship (X-Trial) title, achieved in March 2026 in the indoor discipline contested over artificial sections, Bou has now won a total of 40 consecutive World Championship titles, establishing a record virtually unparalleled in motorsports history.
