TOKYO, Japan, December 24, 2025 – Honda Motor Co., Ltd. today announced plans to exhibit concept models and racing machines that embody “Honda passion for driving performance” at the Tokyo Auto Salon 2026 to be held at Makuhari Messe in Chiba Prefecture, Japan from January 9 through 11, 2026.
Honda booth theme: “Honda Sports DNA”
The booth theme, “Honda Sports DNA,” expresses how Honda technology and passion to pursue driving performance — with motorsports as its ultimate proving ground — have been carried forward uninterrupted throughout all Honda activities, from racing to automobile development and manufacturing. With the theme color of red, the Honda booth is designed to enable visitors to feel the commitment of Honda to the pursuit of its dreams and its uncompromising dedication as an automobile manufacturer.

Key models on display
Civic Type R HRC Concept:
The world premiere of a Civic Type R-based concept model developed by Honda Racing Corporation (HRC), the global racing arm of Honda. Incorporating its expertise in motorsports activities, HRC further refined the driving performance of Civic Type R developed with the goal of achieving the “ultimate pure sports performance.”
Prelude HRC Concept:
The world premiere of a concept model customizing the base model of the all-new Prelude which went on sale in September 2025, with HRC parts designed to further pursue the “joy of driving.”
Civic e:HEV RS Prototype:
The world premiere of the newly-added RS trim, a sportier grade of the Civic e:HEV. This will be the second model, only after the all-new Prelude, to be equipped with the new Honda S+ Shift control technology, which further enhances the joy of driving and exhilarating driving experience offered by Civic.
Racing machines on display
The Honda booth exhibit will include the Honda HRC Prelude-GT, an all-new GT500 machine which is scheduled to compete in the Super GT 2026 Series, as well as a racing simulator dedicated to e-motorsports, developed using the actual NSX-GT, which competed in the Super GT Series until the 2019 season.
