Honda Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Honda Vietnam) today celebrated the twenty-millionth unit of cumulative motorcycle production at a ceremony held at its factory in Ha Nam Province. An
“Air Blade” that rolled off the assembly line represented Honda Vietnam’s 20 millionth motorcycle produced. This remarkable milestone symbolizes Honda Vietnam’s significant contribution to the country’s motorcycle business and demonstrates the company’s commitment to long-term investment in the country.

Honorable guests from government attended the ceremony, including Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang, Member of the Central Committee of the Vietnamese Communist Party, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Chairman of the People’s Council of Ha Nam Province.
Noriaki Abe, Chief Operating Officer, Regional Operations (Asia & Oceania), Honda Motor Co., Ltd.; Toshiyuki Shimabara, Operating Officer in charge of Motorcycle Production, Motorcycle Operations, Honda Motor Co., Ltd.; and Minoru Kato, General Director, Honda Vietnam attended the ceremony, representing Honda. Honda Vietnam expressed its appreciation to the Vietnamese government at the ceremony, as well as to media outlets, business partners, and its valued customers, for their strong support.

Honda Vietnam commenced operations in 1996 and produced the first motorcycle in December 1997. During the 20 years of business, Honda Vietnam has strengthened its production facilities and motorcycle business activities through the operation of three motorcycle factories, a parts center, and various workshops. As the company has grown, Honda Vietnam has boosted its exports while increasing its sales in the domestic market. The company also places a strong emphasis on corporate social responsibility activities to better serve Vietnamese society.

Honda Vietnam celebrated the production of its five-millionth motorcycle in July 2008, the 10-millionth in September 2011, and the 15-millionth in March 2014. The company managed to produce an additional five million units within a short two-and-a-half years to reach the total of 20 million motorcycles produced.  Moving toward the next milestone, Honda Vietnam will strive to provide high-quality products that always exceed customers’ expectations and contribute to the development of Vietnam’s economy while achieving the goal of being a company that society wants to exist.
