Production in Japan for the month of October 2015 experienced a year-on-year decrease for the 15th consecutive month (since August 2014).

Production in regions outside of Japan experienced a year-on-year increase for the eighth consecutive month (since March 2015), setting record high production for the month of October. This includes record high production for the month of October in Asia and China.

Production worldwide experienced a year-on-year increase for the fifth consecutive month (since June 2015).

Total domestic automobile sales in the Japanese market for the month of October 2015 experienced a year-on-year decrease for the 13th consecutive month (since October 2014).

New vehicle registrations experienced a year-on-year decrease for the first time in 13 months (since September 2014).

Sales of mini-vehicles experienced a year-on-year decrease for the 12th consecutive month (since November 2014).

Fit was the industry’s third best-selling car among new vehicle registrations for the month of October 2015 with sales of 10,189 units. VEZEL was the industry’s ninth best-selling car with sales of 5,412 units.

<Mini vehicles - under 660cc>
N-BOX was the industry’s Top-selling car in the mini-vehicle category for the month of October 2015 with sales of 12,277 units. N-WGN was the industry’s tenth best-selling car with sales of 6,153 units.
