October 26, 2015 - Honda Motor Co., Ltd. today announced a summary of automobile production, Japanese domestic sales, and export results for the first half of the current fiscal year (April 2015-Mar 2016) and the month of September 2015.

Production in Japan for the first half of the current fiscal year experienced a year-on-year decrease for the first time in two years (since the fiscal year ended March 31, 2014).

Production in regions outside of Japan for the first half of the current fiscal year experienced a year-on-year increase for the fourth consecutive year (since the fiscal year ended March 31, 2013), setting record high production for the first half of any fiscal years. This includes record high production in North America, USA, Asia, and China.

Production worldwide for the first half of the current fiscal year experienced a year-on-year increase for the fourth consecutive year (since the fiscal year ended March 31, 2013), setting record high production for the first half of any fiscal years.

September 2015
Production in Japan for the month of September 2015 experienced a year-on-year decrease for the 14th consecutive month (since August 2014).

Production in regions outside of Japan experienced a year-on-year increase for the seventh consecutive month (since March 2015), setting record high production for the month of September. This includes record high production for the month of September in Asia.

Production worldwide experienced a year-on-year increase for the fourth consecutive month (since June 2015), setting record high production for the month of September.

New vehicle registrations for the first half of the current fiscal year experienced a year-on-year decrease for the first time in two years (since the fiscal year ended March 31, 2014).

Sales of mini-vehicles for the first half of the current fiscal year experienced a year-on-year decrease for the second consecutive year (since the fiscal year ended March 31, 2015),.

September 2015
Total domestic automobile sales in the Japanese market for the month of September 2015 experienced a year-on-year decrease for the 12th consecutive month (since October 2014).

New vehicle registrations experienced a year-on-year decrease for the 12th consecutive month (since October 2014).

Sales of mini-vehicles experienced a year-on-year decrease for the 11th consecutive month (since November 2014).

Fit was industry’s sixth best-selling car among new vehicle registrations for the month of September 2015 with sales of 8,546 units. VEZEL was the industry’s 11th best-selling car with sales of 6,311units.

N-BOX was the industry’s top-selling car in the mini-vehicle category for the month of September 2015 with sales of 17,452 units. N-WGN was the industry’s fifth best-selling car with sales of 8,954 units.
