BEIJING, China, August 6, 2012 - Honda Motor (China) Investment Co., Ltd. announced that for the second consecutive year Guangqi Honda Automobile Co., Ltd. and Dongfeng Honda Automobile Co., Ltd., Honda's automobile production and sales joint ventures in China, ranked No.1 and No.2, respectively, in after-sales dealer service in the J.D. Power Asia Pacific 2012 China Customer Service Index (CSI) Study^SM.

The China Customer Service Index Study, begun in 2001 and now in its 12th year, measures satisfaction among vehicle owners who visit authorized dealers' service departments for maintenance or repair work between 12 and 24 months of ownership. Five measures related to maintenance and other services are examined to determine overall satisfaction with dealer service. Overall satisfaction is reported as an index score based on a 1,000-point scale.

Guangqi Honda earned the highest score in all five measures, which are service quality, vehicle pick-up, service initiation, service advisor and service facility, and ranked first in overall satisfaction with a score of 905 points, setting a record high score in the history of the survey. Dongfeng Honda was ranked second with a score of 887 points.

Honda's automobile production and sales joint ventures in China have long strived to provide joy to their customers in China. Earning the highest rank for the second consecutive year demonstrates that Honda's service management system, which has experienced continuous improvement, has been well received and has earned the trust of its customers in China.
