OMC Power Launches UPS Leasing Business in India

OMC Power, a company invested in by Honda, held a ceremony in Hardoi, Uttar Pradesh, India, to mark the launch of its uninterruptible power supply (UPS) leasing business.
Overview
OMC Power, which operates distributed power supply and mini-grid business in India, has launched India’s first uninterruptible power supply (UPS) device leasing business using stationary energy storage powered by Honda Mobile Power Pack e:, which is used in electric motorcycles and electric three-wheelers.
This business, which began in Hardoi, Uttar Pradesh, has already acquired 56 users since its launch and is expected to play a significant role in stabilizing electricity supply and reducing environmental impact in India.
The UPS device offered by OMC Power is optimally designed for use with Honda Mobile Power Pack e:. By combining distributed renewable energy generation with advanced energy storage systems, it provides uninterrupted, low-emission power in regions where stable electricity supply remains a challenge.
Furthermore, by repurposing EV batteries previously used for mobility applications, the system extends battery life while supplying environmentally friendly electricity, contributing to more sustainable energy use and improving the quality of life for customers.
