Honda Exhibited Next-Generation Fuel Cell Module at India Energy Week

Honda exhibited its independently developed next-generation fuel cell (FC) module and related application examples at “India Energy Week,” held in Goa, India, from January 27 to 30, 2026.

India Energy Week, supported by India’s Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, is an international exhibition that aims to balance decarbonization goals with stable energy access, while showcasing strategic investment opportunities and breakthrough technologies. This year’s event attracted more than 75,000 participants from around the world and featured exhibitions by over 700 companies.
At the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) booth, Honda introduced its hydrogen technologies by displaying the FC module and various application cases, highlighting the company’s technical capabilities to a diverse audience.

We received many questions from a broad range of attendees, including students, private-sector companies, and public sector undertakings. We expect that interest in hydrogen and fuel cell technologies will continue to grow as one of the key options for achieving a decarbonized society.

Honda Begins Joint Demonstration of Stationary Fuel Cell Power Station Designed to Utilize By-product Hydrogen and Repurposed Automotive Fuel Cells

TOKYO, Japan, August 1, 2025 – Honda Motor Co., Ltd. (Honda) has started a demonstration project jointly with Tokuyama Corporation (Tokuyama) and Mitsubishi Corporation (MC), to operate a data center using by-product hydrogen and a stationary fuel cell (FC) power station designed to reuse FC systems from fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEVs). The companies today held an opening ceremony at the demonstration site located in Shunan City, Yamaguchi Prefecture, Japan.

Honda at the Hannover Messe 2024

Honda exhibited at the Hannover Messe from April 22-26, 2024 in Hannover, Germany.

Under the main theme of “Energizing a Sustainable Industry,” the Hannover Messe exhibition brought together companies from mechanical, electrical and digital industries as well as the energy sector.
Approximately 4,000 companies from over 60 countries showcased their latest technologies, with just under 500 hydrogen & fuel cell-related exhibitors and over 100,000 visitors attending the fair.

At the Honda booth, a prototype of the Honda fuel cell module, which is scheduled to go on sale in the mid-2020s, was displayed with an easy-to-understand video showing how Honda‘s fuel cell operates and a hologram introducing a possible future use case of a stationary power generator equipped with various fuel cells.

The fuel cell module can be utilized to a wide range of applications, including fuel cell vehicles (FCEV), commercial vehicles, stationary power generation and construction machinery. Honda was able to demonstrate its commitment to the European market and received much attention and interest from visitors including potential business and technology partners.

Isuzu and Honda Begin Demonstration Testing Today of Fuel Cell-Powered Heavy-duty Truck on Public Roads in Japan

TOKYO, Japan, December 22, 2023 – Isuzu Motors Limited and Honda Motor Co., Ltd. today began demonstration testing on public roads in Japan of the GIGA FUEL CELL, a fuel cell (FC)-powered heavy-duty truck currently being co-developed by the two companies. Through this demonstration testing, scheduled to run through September 2024, the two companies will continue making progress in collecting data, amassing knowledge and identifying technical issues in preparation for a 2027 market introduction.
