OUTLIER＝An entity unconstrained by boundaries
This concept model aims to be an unconventional presence, built upon Honda's shared electric motorcycle design theme ‘Precision of Intrinsic Design’ while pursuing a fresh approach that breaks free from conventional thinking.
Leveraging the layout flexibility unique to electric vehicles, it employs in-wheel motors on both front and rear wheels to achieve a dynamic, low-profile style.
「Gliding」
A gliding sensation riding feel that leverages the smooth propulsion and quietness unique to EVs. Acceleration and deceleration transitions, along with cornering behavior, are exceptionally smooth, delivering a static ride quality that feels like gliding over the ground. The smooth surfaces you'll want to touch and the smoke-clear body express an image of lightness, as if gliding through the air.
「Ecstasy」
The instant responsiveness and acceleration unique to motor-driven vehicles, coupled with overwhelming torque, create an “emotional riding feel.”
By freely controlling the front and rear in-wheel motors to transmit driving force more directly to the road surface according to the situation, it achieves an exhilarating ride unique to electric vehicles, where rider and machine become one. Furthermore, the bucket-type backrest absorbs the overwhelming acceleration of the motor drive while simultaneously providing a new sense of control, allowing you to carve through corners with your hips as the pivot point.
「Low」
Dynamic & low-position riding feel delivers an unprecedented riding experience and distinctive styling.
Anticipating even greater freedom in EV vehicle packaging, we aimed to achieve a seat height that stands out as exceptionally low even among Honda motorcycles.
To create an exhilarating view and overwhelming acceleration sensation unattainable on conventional motorcycles, we lowered the seat's hip point and minimized the eye point to the absolute limit. The “Dynamic & Low Position” is a riding posture made possible precisely because it's electric.
