The mini-vehicle (Japanese K-cars/Kei-cars) is a genre that has undergone a great deal of research and development unique only to Japan and now holds a large market share in Japan. We understand that the development of mini-vehicles has generated a wealth of unique knowledge and technology that can be utilized in various countries and regions in the future, making mini-vehicles a high potential category for the future. For more than 10 years since its first introduction, Honda N Series models have been fulfilling various needs in society and enabling various lifestyle choices for people. At one point, this series was designed as a tool that expands the potential of people’s mobility, and at another, it was designed to create new work styles by offering vehicles people need for their work. The jurors highly commend Honda’s attitude of consistently performing fixed-point observations of our society and continuing to develop design accordingly.
