In this year’s Auto Color Awards, how well the companies communicated with their customers and incorporated what they learned through such communications into their CMF was the key evaluation criteria. The N-BOX designers carefully observed customer behaviors and expressed functionality and the fun of driving in a rhythmic way. The yellow exterior color they created is a difficult hue for automotive color design, as a slight difference in hue could evoke too much of an “outdoor” image or make the car look dirty. The N-BOX was highly evaluated for achieving a yellow color that is “just right” and creates a warm and relaxing feeling.
