Well, in a new video released today, All-New ASIMO, the latest generation of Honda’s humanoid robot, goes on a tour of New York City.

Earlier this year, All-New ASIMO made a European debut in Brussels, Belgium. Since then, ASIMO begun a Europe-wide tour, including stops in the United Kingdom to attend the WIRED 2014 conference and visit the editorial offices of the Daily Telegraph newspaper. Most recently, ASIMO made a country debut in the Czech Republic, being invited to celebrate the first anniversary of the country’s refurbished Techmania Science Center.

But as documented in the unique new video, before all of that, All-New ASIMO spent some time getting to know New York, popularly known as the “Big Apple.”

An early-morning visit to Times Square starts the day as ASIMO greets the day’s early risers at one of the world’s most famous crossroads. At lunch, ASIMO spends time at the scenic Brooklyn Bridge Park. ASIMO makes some new friends at the plaza overlooking the city’s East River and poses for paparazzi with the iconic Brooklyn Bridge in the background before travelling back to Manhattan.

ASIMO then joins a surprised crowd in Madison Square Park in the shadow of the historic Flatiron Building. Taking advantage of the great Empire State weather, ASIMO dances for the crowd and greets hundreds of youngsters in a self-introduction.
