Hanam, October 26th 2018, Honda Vietnam Co., Ltd. (HVN) inaugurated Line 6 and celebrated the twenty-five million motorcycle production achievement at Hanam and Vinh Phuc factory.
Honda Vietnam today inaugurated new production line at the ceremony. This is the 6th line which will be run at Hanam factory to manufacture Air Blade. Adding one more production line assists production capacity of HVN to increase by 250,000 units per year, which is expected to meet the increasing demand of the scooter market.
Besides, HVN also proudly celebrated the twenty-five million unit of cumulative motorcycle production. A “SH150” that rolled off the assembly line represented HVN’s 25 millionth motorcycle produced. This remarkable milestone symbolizes HVN’s signficant contribution to the country’s motorcycle business and demonstrates the company’s commitment to long-term investment in the country. This is the result of the millions of customers who have placed their trust in HVN. On this special occasion, HVN want to send 25 million-thank yous to beloved customers for helping us achieve this major milestone. HVN commenced operations in 1996 and produced the first motorcycle in December 1997. During more than 20 years of business, HVN has strengthened its production facilities and motorcycle business activities through the operation of three motorcycle factories, a parts center, and various workshops. As the company has grown, HVN has boosted its exports while increasing its sales in the domestic market. The company also places a strong emphasis on corporate social responsibility activities to better serve Vietnamese society.
HVN celebrated the production of its five-millionth motorcycle in July 2008, the 10-millionth in September 2011, the 15-millionth in March 2014 and the 20-millionth in September 2016. The company managed to produce an additional five million units within a short two years to reach the total of 25 million motorcycles produced. Moving toward the next milestone, HVN will strive to provide high-quality products that always exceed customers’ expectations and contribute to the development of Vietnam’s economy while achieving the goal of being a company that society wants to exist.
