Tadasuke Makino to Step Up to FIA Formula 2 Championship from Russian Time Race Team

TOKYO, Japan, February 9, 2018 -- Honda Motor Co., Ltd today announced that Tadasuke Makino, who competed in the FIA*1 Formula3 European Championship*2 in the 2017 season, will step up to the FIA Formula 2 Championship (F2)*3, recognized as one of the gateways to the FIA Formula One World Championship (F1), and compete for a full 2018 season for the Russian Time race team.

Honda will continue supporting Makino as part of the Honda Formula Dream Project (HFDP), a program designed to help the step up process of young drivers to play active roles in the world of motorsports.
