Naoki Yamamoto, who is currently a Honda-supported driver, competing in the Japanese SUPER FORMULA and SUPER GT series, will drive one of the Scuderia Toro Rosso cars in Free Practice 1 at the 2019 Japanese Formula 1 Grand Prix. Yamamoto is one of the top drivers in Japan and is the reigning champion in both SUPER FORMULA and SUPER GT.
Toni Bou increases his legendary status further with a 13th TrialGP world title

The Repsol Honda Team rider was today crowned 2019 TrialGP World Champion. Toni Bou, who triumphed in the French trial takes his tally of consecutive title wins to 13 in TrialGP, in addition to the 13 indoor trophies. 26 titles for the greatest rider in history!

Honda Celebrates 60th Anniversary of World Grand Prix Participation

Since its beginning, Honda has strived to reach the pinnacle in its motorsports challenges. In 1954, to realize his dream of becoming the world’s best, company founder Soichiro Honda declared the company’s entry into the Isle of Man TT in the FIM Road Racing World Championship Grand Prix (WGP), the premier class at the time. For the next five years, Honda developed the racing machines, and on June 3, 1959, became the first Japanese motorcycle manufacturer to enter the Isle of Man TT. Since Junzo Suzuki, Naomi Taniguchi, Giichi Suzuki and Teisuke Tanaka rode their RC142 racing bikes in the 125cc class, 60 years have passed.

The X-Trial event in Andorra has brought the 2019 FIM X-Trial World Championship to a close. Toni Bou, the Repsol Honda Team rider, with the championship already mathematically sealed, was able to savour the thirteenth title in front of the home Andorran spectators.
