Honda Team Motul Announces Drivers for Suzuka 10 Hours

Honda Team Motul announced that it will be represented by Bertrand Baguette (Belgium, 33 years old), Marco Bonanomi (Italy, 34 years old) and Hideki Mutoh (Japan, 36 years old) in the 48th Summer Endurance 2019 BH AUCTION SMBC Suzuka 10 Hours race (Suzuka 10 Hours), to be held on Sunday, August 25, 2019.

The Suzuka 10 Hours is Round 3 of the Intercontinental GT Challenge (IGTC), the premier GT3 category which attracts top teams worldwide to compete at the highest level. Honda Team Motul has been competing in this category with its NSX GT3 Evo since Round 2, the California 8 Hours.

For the Suzuka 10 Hours, Baguette who raced for the team in California will be joined by Bonanomi and Mutoh. Bonanomi is well-experienced, competing in the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC), and test-driving the NSX GT3 in 2018.

After racing in the North American IndyCar series, Mutoh moved on to race in the Japanese SUPER GT and Super Formula categories. He is one of Japan’s top drivers, winner of the GT300 class.

For this year’s Suzuka 10 Hours, Free Practice will be held on Friday, August 23, followed by qualifying on the following day. The race begins at 10:00 am JST on Sunday, August 25.
