Honda Team Asia's Ai Ogura was fighting at the front from Lap 1 of an exciting race under hot conditions in the UK, but lack of track experience meant he only managed 10th place. Teammate Kaito Toba showed real pace but struggled to push through the pack, finishing the race in 20th position after a difficult qualifying yesterday.

Ai Ogura | Honda Team Asia (10th)

"I am really happy with the race, until the final four laps. The start of the race for me was a big improvement, I was in the front group and I felt good, even leading the race at one point. The final 4 laps were difficult and I didn't manage the race well and I lost some positions. My target is to always give everything in the race and if I feel I have done this I will be happy. Next race we head to Misano, it is not a bad circuit for me as I won there in the RedBull rookies cup. We have a couple of weeks training now with the team and I will arrive in Misano ready to fight on Sunday in the race."

Kaito Toba | Honda Team Asia (20th)

"Today I am very disappointed with the result, finishing in 20th position for me is not good enough. This result comes from not just a bad race but also the way we manage free practice and qualifying. In Misano I must improve this and my focus will be in the next two weeks to train hard, prepare well and get back on the right path with a podium finish."

Hiroshi Aoyama | Team Manager, Honda Team Asia

"What a great race here at Silverstone, It was exciting from the first lap! Both our riders battled until the end of the race, but as a team we are a little disappointed with the final result. I appreciate both Ai and Kaito's effort today, it was a long and hot race on a difficult circuit. Ogura lead the race today for a time, this is a big thing for him as this is the first time he has lead a Grand Prix! I hope this gives him confidence for the rest of the season and he is able to learn from this experience today. Kaito found managing the race difficult today, it was never going to be easy after a difficult Q2 yesteday. He needs to find his feet again in the races and take the speed, which we all know he has to his favorite circuit next time out in Misano."
