Overview of Off-road-type ABS

The Off-road-type ABS suppresses wheel lock and supports stable deceleration on a variety of surfaces, from on-road to off-road. In addition, the rear ABS deactivation mechanism allows the rider to turn off the rear ABS with only the flip of a switch when the rider judges that it is necessary to use the front and rear brakes differently, such as when riding off-road.

*The ABS is a system that assists the rider in braking; as with vehicles not equipped with ABS, it is necessary to slow down sufficiently before corners as the system is not designed to support reckless riding. When the ABS is activated, the system will kick back to let the rider know that the system is working.
