Honda Super Idea Contest
SDG 4 : Quality education

Honda strongly believes in the limitless potential of creativity and technology. As a leading innovative company, we have always set ourselves to excel, not only in automaking, but also the creation of innovation to enhance humans’ future living and mobility.
Trusting that children hold the key to the future, we have placed great emphasis on creating a program that can encourage their creativity and empower them to make their dreams into reality.
Inspired by the creation of ASIMO, a humanoid robot created by Honda in 2000, Honda Automobile (Thailand) Co., Ltd. organized a major initiative in 2005 for children called the “Honda Super Idea Contest”. The contest seeks to enable children to experience the importance of the “Joy of Creation” and provide support for them to grow in society. It also provides an opportunity for them to give shape to their ideas through the act of drawing their dreams and taking on new challenges.
Winners receive the Royal Award plaque under the Patronage of HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn of Thailand. During the 17 years since the contest commenced, a cumulative total of 426,538 ideas have been collected from Thai children nationwide.
In 2021, the contest was held online for the first time due to the spread of COVID-19. The 14 children who passed the preliminary round completed their own work through an online workshop in which they learned about arts and science and attended the 2021 Final Round.
In 2021 we received more than 5,723 ideas.
This has shown us that even the pandemic could not stop our children from thinking, dreaming and fighting for their dreams, which reflects the magic of “The Power of Dreams.
