Why does Honda carry out beach cleanup activities?

The answer lies in our approach to monozukuri, through which we “strive to help people and create a better society through our technologies.” When making automobiles and motorcycles, and when cleaning up beaches, this approach is firmly rooted in the minds of all Honda associates.

Since launching the Honda Beach Cleanup Project in 2006, we have carried out cleanup activities at more than 300 locations across Japan. The project has grown into a collaborative activity carried out by the Honda Group and local residents, and over 7,000 people now take part every year.

“My car wasn’t great in the qualifiers, but I was able to slowly gain position during the race. However, unfortunately there was a problem with the fuel hose during the pit stop and I had to pit again under yellow to add more fuel and fill up the tank. I think I would have finished strongly if not for that. However, this top six finish is a great result for the team overall.”

Honda wins the German Grand Prix for the 11th year in a row!

More

Marc Márquez broke his right arm at the Spanish Grand Prix last July, and made his

comeback at the Portuguese Grand Prix earlier in April this year. This was his 57th career MotoGP win, and his first victory for two years, since the Valencian Grand Prix in the final round of the 2019 season some 581 days earlier.

Marc Márquez
“This is one of the most important, and hardest, moments of my career. Today I knew there was a great opportunity to do something. When I crossed the line I just enjoyed it and then arriving with my whole team there, emotional, it helps a lot after such a difficult situation. It’s impossible to come back alone, you need people, you need a good team, a good team of doctors, a physio, Honda, Honda respect me a lot. Alberto Puig, Emilio Alzamora, my family, they helped me a lot.”
